About Us

Welcome to The Plume of Feathers

The Plume of Feathers is a 16th Century dining pub with rooms, located in the heart of Cornwall. Ideally situated between the bustling hubs of Truro and Newquay, our quiet rural retreat can be found just off the A30.

Family owned and run we aspire to provide guests and team with a wholesome hospitality experience that exceeds expectations, while respecting the very environment that allows us to exist.

Restaurant and bar

Take a pew in our cosy bar for a local brew, or find a corner by the log fire to relax
and enjoy a good book.

Join us for classic pub food with a twist, inspired by the seasons and curated by our talented chef team, led by Head Chef Andrew Dudley, using the best local ingredients and suppliers Cornwall has on offer. Our restaurant is full of warmth and character, with exposed oak beams and an airy conservatory to boot.

Luxury rooms in the Cornish countryside

Stay the night and make the most of our large and spacious rooms, complete with monsoon showers and free-standing baths. Each room is designed to make your stay one to remember and, with 20 rooms and suites in our portfolio, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Our accommodation has been thoughtfully converted from the original buildings (once barns, stables and henhouses), and are decked out in the natural hues of Farrow & Ball, with country-inspired furnishings for a finishing touch.

Dog-friendly rooms are available on request.

Escape to the edge at Lewinnick Lodge

Our sister venue, Lewinnick Lodge, can be found just a short journey by car in neighbouring Newquay. Enjoy supper with ocean views, or extend your Cornish getaway and stay a night on the edge of the ocean.
