Storm-watching on the coast
There’s nothing quite like the raw power of a Cornish storm, as the winds whip up and waves crash against rugged cliffs. It’s a show both awe-inspiring and humbling… and, in our opinion, best enjoyed with a hot drink to hand.
Head to spots like Perranporth, Bedruthan Steps, or St Agnes Head to see the drama unfold (wrapped up in your warmest layers with a flask of tea, of course). Even on those wet and windy days, storm-watching in Cornwall has become a favourite pastime for photographers and explorers alike.
Our advice? Warm up after your storm-watching adventure with a hearty meal and a roaring log fire here at The Plume, or watch the waves in action from the comfort of the cliff-side restaurant at our sister venue, Lewinnick Lodge.
Note: Make sure you always check the conditions, keep well away from cliff edges, and enjoy from a safe location. You can check out more safety info here.
