Cornish festivities you don’t want to miss this summer

30th May 2019

Have you been to Cornwall during the summer months? It’s simply a wonderland of excitement and buzz as numerous festivals and events get underway in the Cornish sunshine.

So, what should you be looking out for when making your trip to the Duchy? Even if you live here, it might be a good time to refresh your summer plans…

Eden sessions

As the biggest venue currently in Cornwall, the Eden Project is set to host even more legendary acts this summer with its Eden Sessions line up. Tickets are already sold out to see the likes of Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Kyle Minoque and Snow Patrol.

If you’re still desperate to dance at the Biomes though, there are still tickets to see the 100th session up for grabs. Expect a star-studded line-up with Nile Rodger & CHIC, Dove and Dreadzone.

Boardmasters

One of the biggest events on the Newquay calendar, Boardmasters is set to return to Watergate Bay this August. Held over four days (7th – 11th), it’s the go-to festival for surfers and skaters, music lovers and people who just want to party by the beach.

If you’re less of a camper though, book a room at The Plume of Feathers and make your nights that little bit more comfortable!

Port Eliot Festival

A must-do on the literary-lover’s list, the Port Eliot Festival is all about celebrating culture, diversity and music in Cornwall. With exhibitions, talks and acts from artists, musicians, thinkers, makers, writers and comedians, make the most of this festival on the stunning Rame peninsula.

Cornwall Pride 2019

Don’t forget to head over to Newquay for this year’s Pride event – as members of the LGBT community, friends and family get together to celebrate diversity across Cornwall.

With floats, music and stalls across throughout the event, the atmosphere is just one of the reasons to drop in to this exciting event!

If you’re planning to head to one of the many incredible events happening somewhere in Cornwall, don’t forget to book your accommodation early.

Happy revelling!
